Why it matters

The space is the first contact between an institution and a family.

A waiting room, a classroom or a museum space is judged before the service it hosts. A space designed for children eases the discomfort of waiting, supports the work of staff and shows care for families.

Design criteria

Four criteria for every commission.

Welcome

Routes, light and colours that guide and reassure the child.

Heavy use

Hard-wearing, easy-to-clean materials, suited to daily use.

Workflows

The space respects the organisation and the needs of staff.

Specialist expertise

For sensory, therapeutic and educational environments we work alongside healthcare and education professionals.

Immersive spaces

Sensory environments for museums and cultural centres.
